The Finger Lakes International Wine Competition (FLIWC) is one of America’s largest charitable wine competitions in the United States. Held annually in Rochester, New York, the event brings together certified sommeliers, educators, and winemakers to judge wine and spirit entries from across the globe. All judging is blind, with only the varietal or blend identified, to ensure total unbiased evaluation of each wine and spirit.
Now in its 20th year, the FLIWC has long been regarded as an esteemed world-class competition. The 2020 competition drew over 2,000 entries from 12 countries internationally, 34 states within the United States, and 4 Canadian provinces.
All proceeds from the competition benefit Camp Good Days & Special Times, a nonprofit that works with children and families affected by cancer and sickle cell anemia. Camp Good Days began as a residential camping experience for those whose lives have been touched by cancer. The organization has grown to become a model for cancer treatment centers around the world through its unique focus on camping and year-round recreational support.
