Baked Feta Dip, Cheese Puff Canapés and Hot Crabmeat Dip!

Highlighting some recipes great for easy hosting during the holidays!


Baked Feta Dip

1 Pkg (Block) (8oz) Traditional Feta Cheese

2 Tbsp Roasted Red Peppers – chopped

1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Dash of ground black pepper

1-2 Lemon Wedges

Crackers (of your choice -Ritz pairs well)


Place cheese in baking dish, top with next 3 ingredients.

Bake in 350 degree oven for 10-12 mins or heated thoroughly.

Squeeze lemon wedges over cheese.


Serve warm with crackers – garnish with some grapes on the side if you have on hand.



Cheese Puff Canapés

1 cup grates natural sharp cheese

3 Tbsp soft butter

½ cup sifted flour

¼ Tsp salt

½ Tsp paprika

24 Olives – if you would like to add a surprise inside (or something else tasty of your preference


Blend cheese with butter. Stir in flour, salt and paprika, mix well. Wrap 1 teaspoon cheese dough around each olive, completely covering olive. Arrange on ungreased cookie sheet.


Bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until golden.

*They may be made ahead and frozen until ready to use them.



Hot Crabmeat Dip

8 oz crabmeat - fresh or can (drained)

8 oz cream cheese - softened

½ Tsp horseradish

3 Tbsp mayonnaise

1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce


Combine all ingredients and pour into small casserole or baking dish.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes uncovered.

Delicious with crusty bread rounds or chips/crackers.

*Low Fat Cream Cheese and Mayonnaise is perfect to use too.
